Immigrants

there was a time when people would look at Asians and other foreigners in Malawi and castigate them calling them all sorts. Must admit i feel ashamed that i was one of them people, You know joining my peers. Now I am at the receiving end and i know better i am in a foreign country and i must say it is not nice. The Media, the politicians, the work place all around me they wont stop going on about foreigners coupled by the fact that alot of people are ignorant and have miss placed hate. And now the credit crunch has hit the town already they are blaming foreigners chasing them in their numbers yet it is their own people who milk the government of benefits. yeah some brag that they make more money sitting at home than working. Yet the reality is that they are mostly funded by foreigners who work long hours and hence pay lots of tax and national insurance. Be grateful you bustards for a change

Politics

Its amazing to see Malawi Politicians scrambling to donate money to people who were affected by that dreadful fire that gutted Ndirande market. As much as i am saddened and appalled by what happened. It breaks my heart to see that all this is just to pull a fast one on Malawians cant even begin to imaging complications arising from all this yes people need help not only in ndirande the whole country needs help. We Malawians need to vote who ever wins convincingly disregarding these short term gimmicks. Please Wake up and kick some butt

Earth Help

Ever woke up feeling like you are not getting anywhere well just feel like that right now am at work with this ab noxious miss know it all bitch come on earth swallow me now and put me out of my misery. I cant take anymore of her silly jokes and her bickering. no wonder the boy friend left her gosh. Another day like this i will shoot myself. For the sake of politeness i have a big grin on my face. if she could read my mind maybe she would have stopped. Being what i am i will just have to put up with it and tomorrow is another day.

HIV and More

HIV and AIDS oh man the are on a rampage. Its sad note that most African coverage of news are more concerned with politics. This deadly disease had claimed most of my friends relatives and others. It is sad to note that some people I know that have HIV are going about shagging around. Yes they are entitled to sex life but surely you would expect one to learn a lesson and change their ways. Some people just don't value life at all. Public awareness is on going but i think authorities can do more. Most people in villages are ill informed . Its alright for people making informed choices, like sleeping around knowing the consequences. Its sad to note that most people when they become successful tend to embark on the skirt chasing business. Yes all the women who did not give them a second look now seem to be willing to spread their legs because of their success. coupled with the alcohol intoxication men seem to bring out the devil in themselves. Raping women, children and their wives oh yes you African Men stop raping your wives and children. It is unheard of in African culture for people to say the husband raped his wife, yet it is common practice. House girls are at the receiving end as well they are being raped every day and can not say a thing for fear of loosing their jobs for they have mouths to feed. What is going on in this world come on people if you can help it at least wear a condom and make sure the sex is consensual. Other wise abstain, there is Aids out there and its killing people. Oh yeah stop blaming alcohol personally i can not stand men who can't control their drinking.

Joy of life

Umm i excited just had another addition to family Another boy. My family is growing big my other son is now learning to speak. I feel i am blessed for having a wonderful wife and two kids. I'm happy about my kids not because they are sons but just because they are mine. I will teach them all the nonsense i have learned through the years. Honestly there is so much nonsense that one picks along the way. Oh behold my kids for i big will your father has so much to show you. Well i must admit i am crazy about my kids I'm not gonna bother them that much. it is best sometimes to let kids make their own mistakes and learn. I have always been rebellious i personally don't believe in alot of these cultures and norms. Life is what you make even Jesus saw the need to simplify things by reducing the ten commandment to two "Love thy God with all your heart and do unto others as you have them do unto you" I'm not going into religion here and please spare me the details. I just think that Christians and Moslem's are both patronising, nothing personal. Some of our cultures need to reflect the changing times, like the concept that a man can cheat because he is a man. Well in Malawi i would say we are doomed. how can we change when the policy makers are the same ones who have been there since independence We need new blood. Not the ones that get swallowed into the old timers world of corruption and greed. I have seen intelligent people being reduced to nothing but puppets because of money. Most people need to be open minded and embrace change make way fellow Africans.

The budget delay

I have noted with regret the conduct by the so called representatives of the people of Malawi in parliament. While their pockets are being filled with tax payers money for doing absolutely nothing they leave the masses to hang. Yes all of you need to sober up no one cares about your differences the issue who is wrong all right is beyond the scope of this discussion. Ordinary folks just want the budget. As much as i do not recommend the sentiments echoed by the president that he will send the army to shut down parliament if they Parliamentarians do not pass the budget. I can however understand the presidents frustrations. MP's need to stop being selfish and pass the budget surely they can then work their differences later. Remember people are watching i bet most of you will lose your seats and i hope you do, nothing personal but you have not served the people. My fellow Malawians let this be a lesson. Oh yes section 65 is important but the speakers hands are tied anyway so why bang on about it

Caught in the act

Noted with sadness about this boss from the bank who was caught with his pants down, as i understand it he took his lap top to be repaired. All hell broke loose from there the rest is history.

Personally i can not judge them, for it is only after i have walked a few miles in their shoes that i can begin to understand.

This guy has a right to privacy and his privacy was intruded hence trust broken. It is a case of two or more consenting adults. Read a lot of comments mostly condemning the guy and Nyasa times still has it on their website. I wish these guys all the best its unfortunate the story bloke in a country that has almost half of the people illiterate and view this as a taboo. Personally think that a few peoples conservatism should not shape every Malawians life. Malawi is a free country as such if you want to record yourself shagging someone who consented to being filmed its no ones prerogative.

The reason that looks good

Its sad to note and understand why someone in there right mind would go to a shop and offer to buy things for every body in the shop when there money would be best used elsewhere. Many people are poor in Malawi and to think that by offering to buy things for a selected few one is showing good faith is a joke. Surely there are orphans, the sick in hospitals and the many needy in Malawi. If you really are serious of ruling again you have to do better than that. I have no idea where my fellow Malawians get their advise from. Times are changing and if you cant change with the times man it will all fall apart. Its about time people realise that Malawians are moving on,gone are the days when one would bribe people with there money without offering substance.
It does not need a politician to tell you how to win peoples mind, the key is to truly love people. Like they say there are two reasons for doing thing " the one that looks good and the real reason" always appeal to the nobler motive.

Jealousy Is Like Cancer

Jealousy men and women is like cancer it eats you away piece by piece. If you are very jealousy i suggest you read a few words of wisdom from i and i Big will. Jealousy is useless If someone is gonna cheat they will anyway there is nothing you can do might as well not bother. Visited a relative the other day noticed the wife's phone was redirected to the husbands phone. Later that night there was a big fight between my relatives the husband and the wife If i did not step in they would have killed each other. Turns out the husband who happens to call himself a player and boy does he shag women, was suspecting that the wife was having an affair to the point of following the wife to work. According to the husband he saw the wife with another dude acting suspiciously and according to the wife that was a male colleague she used to work with and happen to be a friend. Who is wrong or right is beyond the scope of this post. The fact that pissed me most is the domestic violence displayed on this occasion. I hate domestic violence with a passion. To think of it this guy cheats all the time and gets caught all the time and expects to be forgiven. He say's he is a man and he is allowed but i disagree. Yet his wife was suspected to be cheating and he went ballistic loosing it, moving out of the house. I had to talk some sense into him to come back to his wife and children. Why oh why indeed why! all this jealousy brings nothing but misery before you start getting jealousy revive your relationship so that you reduce the likely hood of your partner cheating on you. Relationships should be competitive one should make it worthwhile for the other party to still be in the relationship. If you must cheat make sure they are better than your partner and never get caught. What one does not know does not hurt. In this day and age a woman or man cheating is just as bad or good depending on the way you look at it. Read the signs and do something before its too late.

Love and Marriage

Indeed love hurts, how many people have ever been in love? Love is a general word which i think passes through alot of peoples lips subconsciously. Saying It without actually meaning it, then there is true love uumm now this I think exit between one and their parents or one and their kids. I can not include among siblings because i have witnessed some sibling rivalry way out of control. To say a man and woman who were strangers can meet and form true love then i think it is pure fantasy just like father Christmas. Why? because love is conditional be it direct or indirect. The conditions are different from how much money you have, charisma, looks, status in the society, how good a father you are, manners be it good or bad etc... You might disagree but think about it before you and your partner got together there must be boxes both of you had to tick, you know minimum conditions. Another interesting thing is about these words {having something in common}. Can not stand these words because they remind me of back in the days when i used to be so shy, naive, clueless as far as women were concerned. These words were a stumbling block to my quest for the ladies. Girls used to say we have nothing in common bla bla bla.Then i remembered a lesson in physics not that i was good at it. That say opposites forces attract, that revolutionised my life. Most relationships that claim to have similar taste then it means one of them is pretending just to please the other or subconsciously following the other. That's why there are so many divorces out there because most people as life goes on gather up the courage to realise or rather admit they are different. This realisation or admission rocks the foundation upon which their marriages were bound. some relationship are rocked so hard they collapse others try to work it out through Marriage counselors. Compromise is what is needed. If you have the foresight to look and identify your differences and agree on compromises way before, One will not need to go through all the hustle.

Mugabe

I think time has come for the old man from Zimbabwe to pass the Mantle . Evidently losing but still clinging on to power typical African Leaders. It is a shame these old school are still clinging on to power some want to bounce back. Lets learn to respect the will of the people. To all you nallow minded Africans who think of going the Mugabe way think again. Stop blaming white people for your own mistakes. It's nothing personal just business and if most white or black people can step away from this black and white business and see people for what they are this world will be a better place.

Malawi's staple food

read an article in one of the Malawi papers online where my fellow Malawians were not happy with comments made by one naive overseas volunteer. The naive girl was banging on about our treasured food (Nsima). It is a shame she cant appreciate our food. then again that is her opinion i cant judge her on that. all can say is i have an open invitation to this girl to come and sample more food that we Malawians eat. Maybe the food was not well prepared or maybe something wrong with her taste buds. Guys come on you should also make an effort to make the food more appealing. One love.

Fight to the end

Its been one of those months when thing seem to crumble under one's feet try this and that and things don't work out bang ones head and still no hope. Hey on second thought life is for living and nothing is impossible so I'm gonna stick my chin up and walk tall. I am gonna walk where the brave dare not ponder I'm gonna fight the impossible war. You see having a wife, a son and another son on the way kind of makes you have that inner strength, a perfect motivator. So all you people going through a rough patch i say keep your head up, go out there and kick some butt.

malawi politics

Its high time some thing is done with the politics of malawi people need to wake up and start taking control. the political parties have got too much power they dont care who they trumple with their policies. Surely the ordinary folks are suposed to be consulted. Malawi wake up, been asleep for too long. Politicians get a grip sober up and sort this mess or else we will end up like kenya. I hope we will not get to that.

Very Educated

I was just at work this other day when this other work collegue a fella from Africa like me asked me what studies i was doing. When i told him he was very surprised and started praising me with all sorts of praises. Oh you are very educated this and that bla bla bla. Oh he has never been to school himself this and that mambo jambo. Yet this guy is more fun to be around he will tell you more sense than most so called educated. To be honest he is more learned than most educated people. Education is more to do with facts and figures but learning is an active process. It is sad that most people think that education is the only key there is more to life. Education can sometimes get in the way it keeps you too ocupied to think of other alternatives. Most educated people are narrow minded in that they focus most of their energy on working for other people to earn money instead of learning to let money work for them. I have often seen and read about people who have never spent a single day in a classroom having more success in life and having a fuller and happier life. Enjoying the profits brought about by the very stressed educated man. Yeah some may say without the educated man there would not be profits but remember it is the uneducated who created the job in the first place. Who is smarter ?

its life oh the smell of it like a pussy oops I'm i suppose to say that ? What the fuck, i can say what ever. I have often wondered who started all these stupid rules eh. Life is for living so enjoy it i meet all sorts of people. come to think of it, marriages break for all sorts of reasons say some one slept with some one. whats so bad about it. a pussy is a pussy and a dick is a dick why the hell do people waste time with jealousy. We are all filthy people come to think of it what is a sin. society has its own interpretation what do you think. Oh dont give me all that religious shit for religion is the route of all evil its like an opium, fucking with peoples minds. sin is thought. thought is sin can u dig. in other world you are the fucked up one.

Bravo chissano on the mo ibraham award

Congratulations to Chissano for his award. I hope this may help encourage other African presidents to promote good governance . Come on when its time to leave the post do so gracefully be gone and thanks for your rule. It's high time African leaders stop being so greedy Africa is full of greedy politicians. A continent so full of wars and unstable governments they all say they are representing the people of Africa. Yeah right the same people you are killing with all your power struggles. To ask most of them the will blame everybody else but themselves. I come from Malawi where a typical African story is unfolding former president Muluzi who apparently was nominated for the Mo Ibrahim award but withdrew. Now is engaging back into politics seriously has put our country into turmoil. The Guy ruled the country for ten years and yet done nothing but corruption plundered the country dry with his useless followers. Now Muluzi keeps changing his story for wanting to come back into politics. What ever his reasoning surely there are people in his Party UDF that can lead the party or is there not. Come on UDF u mean you cant survive as a party because of one man. Whats wrong eeh! so thick you cant challenge a Gama (Muluzi). Do us all Malawians a favor be gone we want to remember you as some one who brought about multi party not one who wanted to hang on to power at the cost of the nation you had your time .

What is life ehh? Woke up and a thought crossed my mind is life worth living or should i blast myself. Life is very unfair. Then again i will like to make something out of life i will like to be a very rich man or die trying. Die trying hell no actually make it rich like a king and live my life trouble free.
