Mama Africa

Woke up this morning with a terrible hangover, wondering why the hell i have been drinking like that. Ummm same old story different day. I kinda just have to get past the hangover, the head is pounding like crazy. so who shall I slug off now umm. Africa oh Africa my mother land you are infected big time corruption has engulfed you like cancer poverty all over you Africa rotting corpses all over. why oh why indeed why mother Africa what did you do to deserve this. Leadership all over Africa full of greed and hatred. Clinging on to power till death do us part oh why oh why. Depleted resources and loss of human resources through Africans pursuing greener pastures and through HIV and AIDS. It is then no wonder we have all these problems oh mama Africa. Too caught up in the past with colonialism, blaming everyone else but yourself mama Africa. You have the same leaders stuck in corruption non imaginative ways of governing. Dictatorships is the norm and foolish African presidents cant even condemn such styles of governments. In fact they glorify it by supporting those perpetrators.Take for instance former Malawian President Bakili Muluzi ruled for Ten years in line with the constitution though he tried to change the Constitution to run again for a third term but failed. Now he is trying to come back to power by trying to manipulate the constitution. Yet the constitution is clear section 83 says The president, The vice President, and the second vice president shall serve the maximum of two consecutive terms in their respective jobs. This has created alot of tension in the country plus the fact that he muluzi was arrested and charged with corruption. I personally think he has a case to answer well at least so he can clear his name as he claims to be Innocent. But one wonders why he has been dodging this case but obtaining injunction after injunction trying to stop the Ant Corruption Bureau from questioning him. Finally the courts ruled against him and the ACB were able to question him and took him to court so he can prove his innocence. I sometimes question his logic or be it of his advisers. if he did not obtain his injunctions against this case it would have been done and dusted a while ago. Now this case is haunting him and he may even not be able to participate in these elections. Now he is claiming that this Case is politically motivated, honestly he delayed this case himself and he should blame no one but himself. Realistically speaking he is the one who is causing alot of tension in our country to the point that African Union sent representatives in Joachim chisano and his Ghanaian compatriot both of whom gave up power after their terms in power finished. Muluzi Really should be following their foot steps to retire from active politics and leave us in peace. Chisano and his friend instead of telling Muluzi straight that you are the problem you should just retire they go on and beat about the bush typical of Africans. I Was not surprised when they left without telling this Clinger to back off and go retire some where else. Come on call a spade a spade look at Zimbabwe and Sudan and many other African countries leaves a lot to be desired about the African approach. Believe me there is not going to be another Kenya here for this is not a case of injustice but one persons greed. It may be argued that democracy will not suit all countries. But i choose to disagree, who wouldn't want a government for the people by the people. The problem is not democracy but governments increasingly being detached from reality on the ground. Mama Africa you are too weak to get rid of this rulers bent on misappropriating resources being dictatorial. This leaders clinging on to power till they die. The leaders are too proud to admit that mama Africa is in peril. Wake up Africa unite we can not continue being ruled by such rulers.
